Teacher & Volunteer Appreciation Time!
It's that time of the year! Time to thank all those teachers and volunteers for all their hard work and dedication throughout the year.

3rd Grade Spalding and HMH Journey's Grammar
I teach both Spalding and HMH Journey's in 3rd grade. So because I also plan grammar for my grade level, I ended up putting together some worksheets that integrate both programs. It was definitely a lot more time consuming than I ever imagined. And kuddos to my mom...aka Mama Johnson for proofreading the unit! But here is the final product. I use the worksheets in my own classroom for grammar and feel like I'm giving my kids the both of best worlds.

Student Assessment "Voting" Cards
The 1st year I taught school, my district mentor game me the greatest cards. They have ABCD areas where kids can put their thumb on the letter and "vote" for the correct answer. It's a kinesthetic way for kids and really engages them. They are so focused and love using the cards. It's also a great way for me to get a quick assessment of kids learning.
